Heartless: A new DE Special Rule?

(Test version: not Chapter Approved)

The Dark Eldar are notorious for being evil. Not just when attacking others, but to their own kind. They fight hard, almost suicidal, with powerful weapons and weak armor. The only thing they care about is capturing prizes to take home and torture. Occasionally they will take rare artifacts and other things of value as well.

Dark Eldar units who are considered Heartless have no regard for the lives of their comrades. Heartless units can sacrifice designated models instead of taking casualties in the standard manner, essentially using them as shields or throwing them at the nearest power weapon. Models with the Bodyguard special rule who are in base to base contact with a Heartless model can be forced to take wounds for the Heartless models. They do not count as casualties for the unit and their deaths will not cause the unit to take panic tests.

Amendments:

Dark Eldar Lord:

The Dark Eldar Lord now gains the Heartless Special Rule.

Some Fluff on Dishonorable Sybarites:

In the Dark Eldar world, no failure will go unpunished. In battle is where the Dark Eldar find the most glory and honor. However there are some who cannot live up to their expectations. Sybarites who cannot perform well are punished in one of two ways (Sybarites get a choice, warriors who cannot perform well are just sent to be experiments and hound chow). They can become an experiment of a Haemonculus, where their fate is unknown, or they can attempt to regain some dignity be becoming a bodyguard of the best fighters in a Dark Eldar army. Here their fate is certain...death. As almost all who are sent to combat this way die, those who don't can once again reclaim their place as a Sybarite.

SPECIAL RULES
Heartless: The Incubi and Incubi Master are Heartless. Heartless models can place wounds scored on them on Bodyguards in base to base contact instead. Heartless models do not count bodyguards as part of their unit and so a loss of bodyguards will not effect Ld for under half strength and will not cause a morale check for losing 25%.
Bodyguard: Dishonorable Sybarites have the Bodyguard Special rule. This means that if they are taken in a retinue with a Heartless model they do not count towards the number of models in the unit for morale check purposes.
